INSPIRATION: I was trying to think of something to make my brother’s girlfriend for Christmas. She has great style, but I never know what to get her because she is very minimalistic and if you know me, you know I am the opposite! I asked my brother what kind of things she might like and he mentioned they had some plants in their apartment and she liked the monstera leaf. So, I decided to make her a pair of monstera leaf earrings.
NOTES ON CARE: Brass is a base metal and therefore prone to tarnish. Tarnish is caused by oxidation or in other words- the metal interacting with oxygen in the air. We coat all our raw brass products with a thick layer of epoxy to slow this process. The epoxy will however wear off with time. Remember, tarnish is always cleanable with a jewelry cloth or treated polishing cloth. Below are some ways to ensure the longevity of the epoxy-
- Do not sleep in your jewelry.
- Store your jewelry in an airtight container.
- Do not shower or work out in your jewelry.
